How do I receive a certificate from Boston University?

Students with an overall grade average of B-, with no lower than grade C in any section will be eligible to receive a Certificate of Completion from Boston University.

How is Boston Institute of Finance connected to Boston University?

Boston Institute of Finance partners with Boston University to provide their CMA Exam Prep. All of the course content and faculty support is provided by Boston University.

When does my access begin and end?

Your access begins with the upcoming cohort. Each cohort runs for nine weeks. For students enrolled in both courses, their next course session begins two months prior to the upcoming exam cycle. It is highly recommended that students apply and sit for the exam immediately after completing the core education.

How do I register for Boston University Online CMA Exam Prep?

For how long can I access the course?

Students will have access to each of BU's Online CMA Preparation Program courses for a total of nine weeks (no extensions).

When do I register to sit for the CMA Final exam?

The CMA exams are held at Prometric centers for each individual part. Students must schedule to sit for the final exam at the start of each of their corresponding education sessions, as it may take the IMA several weeks to confirm the registration at the closest Prometric center. Please note that the CMA exam can only be taken during the following testing windows: (January & February) or (May & June) or (September & October).
